Sedation and analgesia are important in emergency and intensive care. It may be for simple procedures in various settings or continuous types during mechanical ventilation. A special chapter on neuromuscular blockade has also been written in the book. Chapter on how to choose sedatives has also been well elaborated. Chapter on Simulation in pediatric procedural sedation by Deshpande is nicely written. This book is must to read for those who are working in emergency and intensive care.
